What is an estimate
The estimates of the repair of automobiles may be called different things, including, damage report, or several other names, but they are all basically the same. However, it is more than just a piece of paper stating the total cost of the repairs on them. This is a contract or agreement between two people. Agree exactly like real estate, the owner and the buyer has a price and sign a contract for their approval. A damage estimate is in the same way in many respects, because there is an agreement between the shop and the customer and the customer needs the agreement to allow the shop, should be signed to repair the vehicle.
One thing that you need to get to the customer, which is often misunderstood to explain is that the sum is only an estimate. They do not guarantee complete the exact amount of the invoice. It can be hidden damage, or many other factors to change before the car is to be complete. As an estimator, it is your job, excellent communication with the customers. You have to let them know that the estimate is subject to hidden damage. You should also understand that the estimate or agreement only applies to items that are written on the sheet repair. If no additional work is required, you must contact the client and some on the new amount. This is as a supplement, which may be necessary with additional parts or labor.
